Bus service in Rugby extended as council puts improvements on the timetable

IMPROVEMENTS to a bus service in Rugby are among a series of changes announced by Warwickshire County Council.

The 4/4A Service has been extended in Cawston Grange via Trussell Way, and will run every 15 minutes during weekdays (7am-6pm).

Other new, extended or revised services have been announced across the Nuneaton and North Warwickshire areas, including the 41, 15, 20, 41, 56, 57 and 66 services.

Services 24, 25, 42, 748, 761 and 85/85B will have revised timetables.

The changes come into effect on Saturday (July 20).

Cllr Jan Matecki, Warwickshire County Council Portfolio Holder for Transport and Planning, said: “We are committed to improving public transport across Warwickshire, and these changes will provide passengers with more frequent services, new journey options, and extended operating hours.

“We’re confident these enhancements will make bus travel a more attractive option for everyone.”

The changes are part of a two-year programme of investment designed to improve the county’s bus network, funded by a £5.5million grant from the government’s Bus Service Improvement Plan.
