Bilton School celebrates 10 per cent improvement on last year's GCSE results

BILTON School made a 10 per cent improvement on its GCSE results from last year.

A total of 59 per cent of students achieved a pass grade of 4 or above in both English and Maths.

Individual success stories included:

  • Emily French with one Grade 9, one Grade 8, two A*s, three As, one Grade 7 and three Bs
  • Zoe Rouse with one Grade 8, one A*, six As, one Grade 7, one Grade 6 and one C
  • Joshua York with one Grade 8, one Grade 7, four As, one Grade 6, three Bs and one C
  • Caitlin Bakewell with one Grade 8, one A*, three As, one Grade 6, two Bs, two Cs and one Grade 5
  • Margaret Marimba with one Grade 8, one A*, two As, one Grade 7, one Grade 6, four Bs and one C
  • Jordan Welch with one Grade 8, five As, one Grade 6, one B, two Cs and one Grade 5

Executive Principal Ranjit Samra and Headteacher Mel Mason said: “This reflects the hard work and dedication of students and staff in a time when there are challenging new curriculums in both Maths and English (with grades 1-9 replacing the old A*-G grades).




“We are proud of the students’ achievements and thank both staff and parents for supporting these young people during a year of so much change to GCSEs.”
