STARRY-eyed pupils at Paddox Primary School gazed beyond the final frontier as they took part in the school’s fourth annual Astronomy Evening.
More than 250 stargazing children, parents and teachers gathered at the school for a night of “amazing astronomical antics”.
The pupils had a chance to look up into the sky with awe and wonder and take part in a number of activities.
The kids learned about cosmic collisions, the phases of the moon, the work of observatories and even took part in a simulated astronaut experience – inspired by British astronaut Tim Peake’s spacewalk mission outside the International Space Station.
Suzanne Rule, science coordinator at the school organised the event and thanked all involved for making it a continued success.
