Warwickshire's Latest Gaming Event Shows how Strong Regional Talent Really Is

Correspondent 22nd Aug, 2025   0

Warwickshire’s gaming sector is thriving more than ever right now. Interactive Futures 2025 proved it as well, with the event helping to highlight how creative and strong the region really is. The biggest gaming showcase in the Midlands once again helped to put the spotlight on the energy that Warwickshire has to offer. The event was held at the Royal Spa Centre on June 14th and it’s just had its sixth year. Enthusiasts, developers, and influencers came from all across the UK to see the latest advances within the sector.

A Step Forward for UK Game Development

Events like this help to showcase what a major step forward game development has taken recently. It also helps to put a spotlight on some of the technical advancements that have been made over the years. After all, revenue in the UK gaming market is set to hit US$17.70bn in 2025, with a projected CAGR rate of 7.5%. According to this estimate, the sector could reach US$25.41bn by 2030. Although traditional gaming has helped to contribute to this, iGaming has also played a huge part.

The iGaming market is on a very positive trajectory right now, with a 6% increase in bets and spins between April and June 2025. Part of this is because of the new and innovative technology driving games, which is leading to new and exciting variants. If you go to any Slingo casino, you’re likely to find themes that stretch from fishing to British gameshow themes, and even historical titles like Slingo: Journey to Asgard. As games like this combine the traditional game of bingo with the unique innovation of online slots, it’s not hard to see how technology has played a pivotal role in the surge in players. Events like Interactive Futures are helping to not only highlight things like this, but also the new and upcoming talent that is helping to bring fresh ideas to the table.

The Event Delivered Innovation and Inspiration

The event, which was held across two days, connected developers with industry leaders and helped to ensure practical advice was given so people could grow within the sector. This year, the rooms were packed for speaker talks, with some from Unity and Epic. People were also given career advice so that they could pivot and go into new avenues within the gaming sector, showing how dynamic and ever-evolving the industry is.

With Interactive Futures 2025 being such a success, it has helped to put a real spotlight on Warwickshire’s thriving gaming scene. Looking forward, it looks like excitement is building for the year ahead. It may be that next year welcomes even more talent. It’s certainly an exciting time for the gaming sector, and next year there could be even bigger speakers who will draw crowds from the UK and beyond.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see even more events added next year, too, especially given the success of 2025. An announcement regarding 2026’s event should be happening over the next few months.
