Cyclist found dead near Kenilworth

A CYCLIST was found dead near Kenilworth yesterday afternoon (Wednesday January 26).

The body of a 61-year-old man was discovered on the B4115 between Chesford and the Hill Wootton crossroads.

A member of the public called police after finding him in the road.

Despite the efforts of members of the public and paramedics, the man was confirmed deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances leading up to his death.

PC Pete Hayes from Warwickshire Police Roads Policing Unit said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area around midday and see any dash cam footage they may have.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 127 of January 26.
