FOOTBALL - Rugby Borough suffer first league defeat of season against Wellingborough

RUGBY Borough suffered their first defeat of the season after losing 1-0 at home against Wellingborough Town.

The game’s only goal came shortly before half time while Borough also had a player sent off late on at Kilsby Lane.

The result means Rugby sit fifth in the Northern Premier League Midlands table.

Borough fell behind five minutes before half time as Jordan Crawford broke the deadlock for the visitors.

And the home side lost Bradley Stretton to a red card on 75 minutes after he received a second yellow card.

Rugby host Long Eaton United on Wednesday, September 10 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Kilsby Lane.
