RUGBY Borough have discovered which league they will play in next season after the FA released the National League System (NLS) club allocations for steps two to six.

Borough will play in the Northern Premier League Midlands in 2025/26 after winning promotion from the United Counties League Premier Division South via the play-offs.

Rugby beat Aylestone Park in the play-off final to seal a historic promotion to Step Four.

Borough can look forward to derby matches against the likes of Bedworth United, Coventry Sphinx and Racing Club Warwick.

A total of four teams achieved promotion into the division – Bourne Town, Lichfield City, Rugby and St Neots Town.

And two teams have dropped into the division from the step above – Basford United and Mickleover.

Another couple of sides have moved across Step Four laterally in Belper Town and Carlton Town.

The other teams Borough will come up against next season are: AFC Rushden and Diamonds, Anstey Nomads, Boldmere St Michaels, Coleshill Town, Corby Town, Hinckley LR, Long Eaton United, Loughborough Students, Shepshed Dynamo, Sutton Coldfield Town and Wellingborough Town.

The league comprises 22 teams.

All leagues are subject to FA Council ratification.
