ROB O’Connor, from Rugby, leads the Stallard Series following an impressive ride for his new team in Dorset.
O’Connor now rides for the Midlands-based Born to Bike Racing Team run by Steve Biddulph.
Former and current World and British champions are on the books of the Born to Bike Racing Team.
Born to Bike predominantly focus on track racing with O’Connor attempting the discipline for the first time as training for his road and circuit racing.
He finished third in his first road race in Pershore.
And O’Connor then took part in the BMCR Stallard Series in Dorset at Bovington Camp in a 55km closed circuit race.
O’Connor attacked the first eight laps before racing alongside James Stewart as the two riders worked well to close the gap to the peloton.
And O’Connor also claimed a prime, lap prize, on the way to lead the series with the next stage in Peterborough on May 11.
