RUGBY Borough reached the United Counties League Premier Division South play-off final following a 2-0 victory against March Town United.
Goals either side of half time from Will Grocott and Gez McGahey at Kilsby Lane booked Borough’s place in the play-off final.
Rugby will play Aylestone Park in the final on Saturday, May 3 with kick-off at 3pm at Saffron Lane.
Borough broke the deadlock in the first half when Grocott fired home from the edge of the penalty area.
And McGahey sealed Rugby’s place in the final with a header after the break as Borough made their home advantage count.
Aylestone thrashed Eynesbury Rovers 5-0 in the other semi-final.
And Aylestone will have home advantage in the final after finishing higher than Rugby in the league table.
Borough finished just one place below runners-up Aylestone in the United Counties League Premier Division South.
However, Rugby failed to score in either league meeting between the two clubs.
The two teams played out a goalless draw at Kilsby Lane back in October.
And Aylestone secured a 4-0 victory in the reverse fixture at Saffron Lane in January although Borough played more than half the game with 10-men.
The play-off final takes place on Saturday, May 3 with kick-off at 3pm at Saffron Lane.
