AUTHORS will give insights into their work at a series of events hosted by a beloved independent bookshop in Rugby town centre.
Hunt’s Bookshop has announced a line-up of author events taking place in the spring and summer.
Local author Jen Smith will launch her new novel Carbon Dating – described as a captivating romance filled with history, second chances and undeniable chemistry – on Friday (April 25).

Named an Independent ‘Best Book to Look Out For in 2025’, the book explores the overwhelming noise of modern life – both literal and societal – and asks how women can reclaim listening as something restorative and empowering.
On June 14, author Abigail Johnson will host an afternoon discussing her heartwarming debut, The Secret Collector – an uplifting novel about friendship across generations, the strength of community, and finding hope which will resonate with fans of Sally Page.
And on July 2, award-winning broadcaster and comedian Robin Ince will discuss his new book, Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal – a candid exploration of anxiety, ADHD, and neurodiversity in which Robin offers a humorous yet insightful perspective, reminding us that it’s okay to embrace our differences.
