WARWICKSHIRE CCC have signed new Australia Test all-rounder Beau Webster for three months of the 2025 season.
The 31-year-old will bolster Warwickshire’s red and white ball options for a three-month period from the start of May to the end of July in the County Championship and T20 Blast.
Webster hit the winning runs against India on his Test debut for Australia earlier this month.
Webster said: “I’m really pleased to sign for the Bears for part of the 2025 season.
“Having played Birmingham League cricket in the past, I have great memories of the people and the area.
“I played some Championship cricket last summer with Gloucestershire and loved the challenge of the competition.
“I know how highly regarded Edgbaston is on the international stage so I’m looking forward to making it my home in the summer, and I can see the club has a very exciting group of players.
“I look forward to meeting everyone in May.”
Warwickshire first team coach, Mark Robinson added: “We’re delighted Beau has chosen to become a Bear.
“Since we first approached him he has made his international debut which shows how highly regarded he is thought of by Australia’s selectors.
“As an all-rounder he will give us great balance in both the Championship and Blast.”
Webster is a hard-hitting right-hander who bowls medium pace and helped Gloucestershire on their way to the T20 Blast title last season, hitting 237 runs and taking six wickets.
He previously featured for Knowle and Dorridge in 2016 and also has considerable white ball experience in Australia in the Big Bash League (BBL) playing for Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars.
Webster averages 38.24 in first class cricket having amassed 5,293 runs in 94 matches and has taken 149 wickets.
