THE WORKS of the most influential artist of the Flemish Baroque tradition will be under discussion in Rugby next week.
Rubens in Rugby takes place at the Benn Hall on Thursday (November 21) at 7.30pm.
Pictures from the exhibition Rubens and Women – a major exhibition of works by Peter Paul Rubens which was held at the Dulwich Picture Gallery in London earlier this year – will be shown on the big screen, while curator Amy Orrock will discuss the varied and important place occupied by women in Ruben’s world.
Admission on the door costs £8, or £2 for students.
Free parking is available from 7pm, and wine and orange juice will be on sale.
