A RESILIENT Rugby woman who was spurred on by her personal heath crisis to support others has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.

Tracy Richardson has been nominated for a Midlands Business and Community Charity (MBCC) Award for her work empowering women struggling with burnout, stress and health issues.

After facing life-changing health challenges in 2020, she was forced to take a step back from her thriving career as a trainer and therapist. She said: “I didn’t know if I would see Christmas that year. The experience reshaped my entire outlook on life, particularly the importance of slowing down and focusing on holistic wellbeing.”

Tracy’s health issues inspired her to start her business, Serendipity Wellness, in early 2023.

“Helping others to reconnect with themselves and prioritise their health became my mission, not just a job,” she said.

“I know first hand how life-changing it can be to shift from living on autopilot to truly taking care of your mind, body, and soul.”

She earned her MBCC nomination in the Health and Wellbeing Champion category by relating to other women’s struggles and emphasising the power of slowing down – a concept she says is essential for long-term health and happiness.

She added: “I learned that slowing down was key to my own healing. It’s not about doing more, but about doing what truly nourishes us.

“I am deeply grateful to be nominated for the award, not just for me but for the women I’ve been able to support along the way.

“This isn’t just about me, it’s about a growing movement of people who are learning to put their wellbeing first.

“Being a finalist is an opportunity to highlight how important it is for more people to embrace this change.

“My goal is to make wellness accessible to everyone, and winning this award would amplify that mission.”

The MBCC awards, which celebrate outstanding contributions to business and community, will be announced at a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on November 30.
