Second helping of Rugby Food Festival to be served up next month

A SECOND helping of Rugby’s biannual food festival is being served up next month.

The free Rugby Autumn Food and Drink Festival takes place in and around Regent Street on Saturday September 21, between 11am and 5pm.

It follows the town’s second Spring Food Festival, which attracted thousands to the town centre in April.

It will feature over 50 food and drink stalls showcasing local and international cuisine – from gourmet burgers and artisan cheeses to exotic spices and desserts.

A Pop-up Kitchen will feature live culinary demonstrations as chefs create dishes and share their cooking secrets.

The festival will also feature family-friendly entertainment including face painting, a funfair and street entertainment.

Linda Lowne, Business Director for event organisers Rugby First, said: “We’re really excited that the Rugby Autumn Food and Drink Festival is coming back to the town centre again.

“There has been a lot of interest from stallholders and the festival is now fully booked, which is great news.

“Similar to previous events we expect to see good numbers on the day, which will not only benefit the other town centre businesses but also give added vibrancy, and a real buzz to the town centre.”
