RUGBY Borough are expecting a large crowd as part of a ‘Groundhop’ event for their first game of the 2024/25 season against Leicester Nirvana.

The FA have designated the first weekend of the United Counties League season as a ‘Groundhop’ event, staggering kick-off times to allow ground hoppers to attend as many matches as possible.

Organised by GroundhopUK, the event affords supporters the chance to attend six different games across five counties. For more information, visit: groundhopuk.wordpress.com

Rugby’s match with Nirvana is the final game of the weekend with the match kicking-off at 3.30pm on Sunday, July 28 at Kilsby Lane.

Borough have a new management team in place for the 2024/25 season with Dave Stringer appointed manager, Craig Herbert assistant manager, Dan Gibson coaching assistant and Kisty Alderman as physio.

Rugby have retained seven players from last season’s squad as a raft of new signings hope to push Borough up the table in 2024/25.
