PROUD staff at a local building society have celebrated receiving a prestigious award.
The award for Best Self Build Mortgage Lender was presented to Hinckley & Rugby Building Society at the Build It Awards 2023.
For the Best Mortgage Lender category, judges looked at how lenders had implemented or improved their offering to address the specific financial needs of self-builders.
As part of the judging process, lenders’ self-build borrowers were encouraged to complete a satisfaction survey. Only customers who had mortgaged during the last three years could participate. Customer satisfaction accounted for one third of the total judging score.
Colin Fyfe, CEO of Hinckley & Rugby, said: “We didn’t set out to win this award. We simply determined that we would become the best mortgage provider to self-builders.
“This accolade is in recognition of our continual effort and commitment to deliver precisely the financial support that self-builders need. I couldn’t be more proud.”
