Rugby's second food festival of the year is on the menu

CULINARY delights and family fun are on the menu as the second food festival of the year heads to Rugby town centre next month.

The Rugby Autumn Food and Drink Festival will feature food stalls, live cookery demonstrations and family entertainment.

The festival’s pop-up kitchen will see local chefs and culinary experts showcase their skills and creativity as they use seasonal ingredients to prepare mouthwatering dishes – some of which will be themed around the Rugby World Cup, with which the festival coincides.

Throughout the day, there will be music, face painting, circus skills, and fairground attractions.

Linda Lowne, the Stakeholder Manager of festival organisers Rugby First, said: “This year’s festival promises to be tastier than ever before, with forty plus food stalls, a pop-up kitchen featuring talented chefs, and some great family entertainment. We would love you to join us on the day for what promises to be a great day out.

“A special thank you to our sponsor Share Haulage Ltd for supporting the event this year and also to Carvells Electricals who will be hosting live-in store cookery demonstrations.”

The event takes place from 11am-5pm on Saturday September 23. Visit www.rugbyfirst.org for more information.
