A TEAM of teens have raised hundreds for a local homelessness charity by making and selling facemasks.
Youngsters from the National Citizen Service (NCS) spent two weeks making facemasks and holding raffles to support Hope4, a charity helping people who are homeless, temporarily housed or in food poverty in Rugby.
They raised £370 for the charity, and also made packages for homeless people including shower gel, a toothbrush and a homemade facemask.
This project was part of NCS’s ‘One Million Hours of Doing Good’, a wider pledge to enable up to one million hours for teens to take an active role in helping the country recover post Covid-19.
