AN UNIDENTIFIED man has died after being hit by a train near Long Lawford this morning (Thursday September 5).
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was ‘immediately obvious’ there was nothing paramedics could have done to save the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police added the incident was not being treated as suspicious, adding: “Officers are now working to identify the person and inform their next of kin.
“A report will also be prepared for the coroner.”
Trains are now running as normal.
