Rugby's Got Talent finalists to go head-to-head

THE BEST and brightest talents in Rugby will go head to head at the semi-finals of Rugby’s Got Talent 2019.

Organisers have whittled down a record number of entries to 21 acts, including singers, guitarists, dancers – and even an Elvis impersonator.

They will perform live in front of judges and a paying audience at Rugby Theatre in three semi-final heats on July 9, 10 and 11 to compete for a place in the final on July 13.

The winner will follow in the footsteps of singer songwriter Kieran Taylour, who has gone on to a packed year of gigs since triumphing at last year’s competition.

David Head, a trustee of Rugby Area Talent Trust and one of the organisers of the competition, said: “Once again we are very impressed with the town’s talent pool, and looking forward to the live shows.

“I think we are in for a real treat this year, the standard is extremely high.”

This year’s winner will receive a cash prize of £500 and performance opportunities, with £100 and opportunities for the runner up.
