A ROARING success – the town centre was bustling for the sixth annual Rugby Bikefest on Sunday (May 19).
Hundreds of bikers rode into town to kickstart the free family festival, which has established itself as one of the town’s most popular events.
They parked up their bikes to create a parade of chrome in North Street and Church Street, while over 40 stalls and displays offered a range of bike-related goods, advice and clothing.
Thrill-seekers tried out the ‘Extreme Wheelie’ machine – a combined motorcycle simulator and virtual reality experience.
Other attractions included face painting, silly bikes, bouncy castles, circus skills, a big wheel, children’s games and a funfair.
Local bands The Rooters, Courthouse, Overdrive, The Black Cats, The Skunks, The Retro and Noah and the Elements played on music stages in Market Place and Church Street.
Observer photographer Jon Mullis went along to capture the fun on camera.
