A CANCER survivor and her husband have raised £1,100 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Tracey Dowler and husband Julian presented a cheque to the charity which helped her through treatment for breast cancer, having raised the money at a fundraiser in October.
Hosts The Arnold House donated a room and contributed towards meals served to the 86 guests – general manager Sian Greenwood having gone through similar treatment to Tracey.
Rugby FM’s Kirst Lehey hosted the event, which included a raffle draw with prizes including a track day in a touring car donated by Ian Joburns, and a £100 voucher for Michael Hill Jewellers.
Euphoria Photography covered advertising and table decorations, and set up a photography back drop to photograph guests at £10 a go. Midland Commercial Services covered other expenses. Entertainment was provided free by Disco Inferno.
Julian said: “Macmillan played a big part during Tracey’s treatment. They give such a lot of time and resources that we felt this was a worthy charity that needed support.”
