Driver left with serious injuries after car and tanker collide

A DRIVER was left with serious injuries following a car crash in Lutterworth.

Police were called at around 2.15pm on Thursday (December 14) to the A426 Rugby Road close to the junction with Shawell Road after a Vauxhall Mokka and a white cement tanker collided.

The driver of the Mokka was taken to University Hospital in Coventry in a serious condition. The driver of the tanker was not injured.

At the time of the collision the Vauxhall was travelling towards Rugby while the tanker was travelling in the opposite direction towards Lutterworth.




Appealing for witnesses to the collision, investigating officer PC John Borlase said: “I would be keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either vehicle beforehand to please contact us quoting incident 379 of December 14.”
