A TWO-CAR crash near Rugby has left a young woman and a child with life-threatening injuries.
A lorry was travelling along the A5 towards the Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT) when it was involved in the smash with a black Nissan Micra at the junction of Rugby Road, Catthorpe on Saturday (October 28).
A ten year-old and a woman in her 20s who were in the car, were air lifted to hospital with injuries thought to be life-changing and potentially life-threatening.
Both are in a critical but stable condition.
The Nissan driver – a woman in her 60s – was taken to hospital for precaution, and later released.
The lorry driver – a man in his 60s – was uninjured.
Any witnesses to the crash or to events leading up to it should call police on 101.
