PEDAL power is set to bring in the pennies for a school production.
Music teacher Jake Collins at Avon Valley School will be tackling the infamous 896km Haute Cycle Route to crowdfund for a large scale school production.
The gruelling journey – which begins in Nice, France, and ends in Geneva, Switzerland – features 22,200 metres of climbing and will take place over seven days.
Jake, who took on the challenge last year, described it as the hardest, most ridiculous yet rewarding experience of his life.
Headteacher Alison Davies said: “For many years we have given our students the opportunity to perform on stage in large scale, high quality, school shows. Next academic year we are intending continue this tradition, and will be giving another generation of AVS students the opportunity to perform, by bringing another production to the stage.”
