A RUGBY man who died following an assault outside a Leamington nightclub has been named as Robert Bavington.
An altercation is believed to taken place between two groups in front of Moo Bar and the 28-year-old was assaulted in Russell Street around 1.20am on Sunday (April 10).
He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance but died a few hours later as a result of his injuries.
Messages of condolence have already been left at the scene but Robert’s family have asked that their privacy be respected at this time.
A 30 year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. One man has been released without charge.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident and has not yet come forward.
