A MCDONALDS customer is being sought by police in connection with the theft of a charity hamper from the Market Place restaurant.
Just after 11:30pm on Thursday February 18, a woman is thought to have taken the hamper while she and her friends were being served.
The hamper was on sale in the restaurant to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, the leading UK provider of free ‘home-away-from-home’ accommodation for families who have children in hospital.
PC Darren Williams, investigating, said: “This may seem like a petty incident. However this theft has deprived the Ronald McDonald Housing Charities of money. This money goes toward helping families be together at an extremely distressing time.”
If you recognise the woman in the image please call police on 101 quoting incident number 111 of Wednesday February 24.
Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously at www.crimestoppers.org.uk or on 0800 555 111.
