FOSSE Falcons under-14 girls won the Leicester County Cup Bowl final with a scintillating 54-24 victory against Market Bosworth in the final.
The final took place at Market Harborough RUFC as Fosse blew their opponents away to lift the trophy.
Made up of players from Old Laurentians, Rugby Lions, Shipston-on-Stour and Stratford upon Avon, Fosse proved too strong for Bosworth in the final.
A focused and purposeful warm-up set the tone as Fosse produced a performance full of intensity from the first whistle.
Strong support play and solid work at the ruck prevented Bosworth from building any kind of momentum.
Fosse’s forwards dominated at the scrum while the backs moved the ball quickly through the hands to run in a number of tries.
And Fosse’s direct running from first phase to last coupled with a determined defensive line helped the girls to victory.
Fosse’s tackling also proved decisive as the girls forced a number of turnovers throughout.
And parents, families and supporters created a special atmosphere on the touchline which spurred the team on.
