A BELOVED annual fund-raising quiz in aid of a local hospice charity returns to Rugby in March.
The Rugby Trivia Quiz will take place at the Benn Hall on Thursday March 5 to raise vital funds for The Myton Hospices.
The quiz was first held in 2002 and has been organised and presented every year by Quizmaster Dave Twynholm, supported by his wife Liz and other family members.
During that time it has raised tens of thousands of pounds for Myton, with many local quiz teams returning each year to take part.
The quiz regularly fills the Benn Hall to capacity due to strong community support, including long-standing involvement from the Rugby Myton Support Group, whose volunteers help to run the quiz evening.
The event has also benefited from the backing of local businesses, who have sponsored prizes over the years.
The winning team will take home a £100 prize, with £60 for second place and £40 for third place.
The event will also feature a bar and a raffle.

“It’s a fun, social evening that brings the community together while raising vital funds that help us continue providing our specialist care and support to local families when they need us most.”
Dave Twynholm added: “It has been my great pleasure to compile and present the Rugby Trivia Quiz for so many years. It is an excellent example of local people supporting a local charity over such a long period.
“I sincerely hope that The Benn Hall is packed once again to celebrate this momentous achievement.”
