A UNIQUE charity which provides free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching for adults has expanded into Rugby.
Since it was founded in 2023, Read Easy Mid Warwickshire has helped dozens of adults in Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth with their reading – transforming their lives in the process.
Vicky Fletcher, Team Leader of Read Easy Mid Warwickshire, said: “I’m thrilled that we can now offer our service to adults in Rugby and I would like to encourage anyone who needs help to come forward.
“Learning to read as an adult can feel daunting, but Read Easy offers a welcoming and non-judgmental environment which enables people to learn at their own pace.
“With an estimated 2.4million adults in England struggling with reading, the need for support has never been greater. Many adults are held back in their work, personal life, and confidence due to poor literacy skills, yet help is available.”
Tracy, who recently learned to read with Read Easy Mid Warwickshire, said: “It’s a great programme and I am very grateful to the coaches.
“I now have a much better understanding of meaning and pronunciation as well as reading. I feel brave now when I speak to people and read. It has given me much more confidence.”
