NEW RECRUITS are wanted in Warwickshire to join in with an English folk tradition which dates back 500 years.
The Knightlow Morris Men – a men’s Morris dance group based in Ryton-on-Dunsmore – are holding a free trial day in Rugby later this month.
A spokesperson said: “Morris dancing is a great way to socialise and get active. We have members aged from 20-something to 70-something, and are always on the lookout for new men to come along and join in from the Warwickshire area.
“Come and have a go at a dance or two, get to know us, learn about Morris dancing, and see if you want to participate in an English Folk tradition going back over 500 years.”
The Morris dance afternoon takes place at Rugby Methodist Church Centre in Russelsheim Way on Saturday January 31, from 1pm to 4pm. No previous experience is required.
