WINTER support services are on offer to help Rugby residents ease the challenges of the colder months.
Seasonal services on offer from Rugby Borough Council and partners have been made available in one location on its website.
Eligible residents can get reductions on water bills from Severn Trent Water, and support with energy debts and repairing broken boilers and heating systems from Act On Energy.
The Warm Home Discount Scheme is also offering a one-off £150 discount on electricity bills, usually applied automatically.
Residents who are struggling with living expenses can access support with allowances such as Attendance Allowance, Carer’s Allowance and Pension Credit.
Support is also available for individuals and families who need help accessing food including services such as the Rugby Foodbank and free school meals for children during term time.
Warm hubs across Rugby are open every day of the week, providing hot drinks, Wi-Fi and the chance to connect with others.
Coun Claire Edwards, the council’s spokesperson for Communities, Homes, Regulation and Safety, said: “We encourage all residents to check whether they are eligible for the winter support services available. We are here to help ease the financial pressures that come with winter months, ensuring that all Rugby residents can get the support they need.”
