A MAJOR furniture donation has been made to Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind to help kit out one of the charity’s new developments.
Stratford-based insurer NFU Mutual has given 600 items of furniture to the mental health charity, which was looking to source pieces for its new ‘Berry Mews’ premises, based in Coventry, as well as for its various other sites.
Among the donations included tables, chairs, sofas, screens, office equipment and soft furnishings – all of which to help benefit the entire organisation.
Steven Hill, CEO from Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to NFU Mutual for their generous gift of furniture, which has helped us create welcoming spaces for children and young people in Coventry, as well as for our new venue in Worcester.
“From residential services and community hubs across the region to staff offices and shared spaces, this donation will help us create environments that feel safe, comfortable and professional for both service users and staff.
“Partnerships like this show how in-kind support from businesses can have a lasting impact on our work and the people we support. Their contribution makes a real difference to the environments where we deliver vital mental health services.”
Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind is a local mental health charity, providing a range of services that support individuals with mental health problems.
Richard Hale, property support manager at NFU Mutual, added: “NFU Mutual is proud to support Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind by donating a range of office furniture and equipment, helping them focus their resources where they can make the greatest impact.’
“By choosing reuse – one of the most effective forms of recycling – we’ve enabled the charity to avoid the costs of furnishing their workspace, allowing more of their funding to go directly towards their vital services.
“This initiative reflects our wider commitment to being a responsible business, embedding sustainability into our operations and supporting the communities we serve. We’re delighted to see these items find a new home where they’ll continue to add value.”
Sitting pretty – NFU Mutual has donated 600 items of furniture to mental health charity MIND.
